I wasn't sure whether to put this in ideas or the art place, but that Squeeky thing is what I refer to as... a... uh... Hermit Scab.. yeah... that's it. Some sort of dinky little scavenger, that may or may not attack a human, and usualy carries around one's remains as some sort of threat to ward any humans away.

You know... there was discussion about including roach-like alien stuff that would crawl around, be harmless, and just add 'atmosphere'..

Heh, it would certainly add tension to the game every time creatures as Moleculor described appeared. At first people might mistake them as (evil) aliens, until they get a close look.

Interesting way of putting the thing... like some bizzare mutation between dead alien and human material somehow fusing together. Though it would be interesting to hear what one of these things sound like when you "squish" them.

Is it just me, or does that look like one of the freaky little critters in the Jedi Knight 2 mines?

it kinda looks like one of those aliens from that old movie... damn, i wish i could remember what it was called, maybe someone can help me, it's the one about the guys who find a dog in antarctica, and the dog is some sort of alien, and the alien simply takes over the host's body without the host knowing, and they have to do these blood tests by burning the blood to see which of them is the alien, and everyone goes nuts and afaik, everyone dies...

if any of that made any sense...

Didn't it have Kurt Russell? Bunch of Scientists down there, and they are surprised to see an attack helicopter going after a seemingly-harmless dog... don't remember the name of it.

yeah, that's the one, where the guy's head sproiuts legs and atennae, and runs away right between some other guy's legs, and he's just sitting there slack-jawed, staring at this guy's head that just went running off... that was hilarious...

Int, on one of the fan sites is trying to start a petition to re-release it in the theatres for it's 20th anniversary this year. Freaks.

Yeah, I saw a few screenshots of the game, looks pretty awesome. As long as Kurt Russell is in it, I'm game.

Lol, oh man... that DOES look like my thing, it's great in it's irony. The Thing wasn't based on an abonded space ship by any chance?
• KilltoyKilltoy Join Date: 2002-03-28 Member: 358Members
No... The Thing took place in a scientific station in the Antarctic. The remake with Kurt Russel was excellent. In some ways it reminded me of the movie "Alien" but I thought it had a lot more suspense.

you could edit the skin of the snark model to look like that, possibly scale it down a bit, and replace the roach with it

Actualy I -do- already have a site, currently it has my other artwork (which can range from new stuff to old), and my Anime Music Videos (two of which have been #1 on the charts... ok for maybe like a day or two, but hey&#33. I used to have some comic stuff on it but in my opinion, they were pretty bad jokes.

Cyber Moon Studios

I had an inside joke in the coffee break comic, where the name and logo of the place was on the marine's mug, while I was on the alien's.

(and yeah, I really hope to fancy up the place after I finish my current Flash project)
