<div class="IPBDescription">Wow.</div> So I got what is probably my last issue of Nintendo Power today - I decided not to subscribe again, since the magazine is quite biased and doesn't really have much interesting news or quality game guides anymore. But as I opened the little publication, a little enclosed CD picqued my interest, called "Smashing...Live!"
Basically, a Japanese orchestra performed some of the best music from SSBM (which, standing, is ALREADY a compilation of some of the big N's best music) and made it BETTER. Sure, whatever little credibility the orchestra had probably went out the window after this, but daaaaaaamn, is it one cool CD!
As I understand it, the CD's been around for a while - probably in Japan and as imports by diehard Nintendo fans - so there's probably some MP3's of it by now. If you are even remotely a Nintendo fan, I highly recommend that you downlaod some songs from the CD, because all of them are awesome. The Depth of Brinstar (METROID MEDLEY!!), Dr. Mario, and Great Bay Shrine songs are all particularly badass.

me want :D
I used to subscribe to Nintendo Power back on the very first issue (with Wart from Super Mario 2 on the cover). I soo kick myself for throwing those out. :( A little bit cause they were antiques, but mostly cause I'd love to have my Metal Gear and Castlevania 2 3 page pullout maps again.. heh.
