FPS game
Please tell me if it's any good, and if you feel like it, steal it but give me credit in the readme, or on the box, or in the manual, or in the ads, or on a blimp floating over New York
Ok, so you control 1-4 guys, right? It is sort of turn based in the way Combat Mission was: You issue orders to everyone, then they are carried out. But this is much more fast paced, because the orders happen simoultaneously (I wish I could spell) in about 10 seconds. To issue orders, you hit a button (let's say space) to jump into first person view for one of your men. At this point, nothing is moving. You move him where you want him to go, fire at what you want him to fire at, all while everything is static. You do the same for your other men. Then, you hit a button (let's say enter) and you can watch your men do the movement and fire at the targets with whatever gun you selected, from and viewpoint you want.
Get it? I figure it would be fun, if you could work out some of the problems (repetiveness, jumping views from one character to the next and losing track, etc.)
Comments?

Space Hulk you mean? Was that anything like Chaos Gate?
If so, then yes, but without instant feedback.
It's a lot like NS in many respects.

Well, this is computer run, and it's much more immersive. You give your orders through a first person view, as if you were playing the game. Just you are the only one moving while you give orders.

Ok, everything is paused, right? Did you ever see the trailer for that Time Movie from Disney where the boy could stop time? Well, time is stopped. You take one person. Move him around and pretend time is going, shooting at stuff and all that. When you run out of movement for him, you take your next person. Time is still stopped of course. You move him around. What you are doing is giving 'orders'. When you hit the big red button, time starts, and for 10 seconds, your people move as closely to their orders as they can, and shoot at the same people as you told them too, while enemies shoot back. Like Combat Mission (great game).
It's not turnbased it works like this: there's a stopwatch that when it's running, time is running. At any time you can stop it and issue orders to any of your bugs. Or you can issue orders real time if you feel so inclined. Something like this you mean?
=EDIT=
Of course, this was a relatively cheap game- overhead view. Cute, strategic and fun.

Rainbow Six 3 will have a planning phase where you can run through the mission, and see wht the people see at certain points. Sans Enemies, of course.
Instead of save+creep it might be pause+creep.
First: Dump all ideas about what you think I'm trying to explain, because even though English is my first language, it might as well be my second.
Second: Okay, imagine a first person view. You are standing there, looking at 2 enemies. Nothing is moving. At the bottom of your screen is a number.
Third: You start moving around. Nothing else moves. The number goes down depending on how far you move.
Fourth: You fire at one of the guys who isn't moving. A bullet icon appears above his head, and the number goes down to 0. Other then this, nothing else moves.
Fifth: You hit spacebar. You get another first person view, from a squadmember, seeing everything at a different angle. Nothing is moving, but the bullet icon is still above the enemy's head. They guy you just moved is back where he started, but there is a coloured line showing where you moved him.
Sixth: Nothing is moving. You move your new guy around, fire at a different enemy, the icon appears. Your number goes down. Nothing else is moving.
Seventh: You hit enter. You get to watch as your two guys move where you moved them, and fire at the people you fired at. Eveyone is moving and fighting, but you have no control. Your people do their best to follow the path you laid out when nothingwas moving.
Eight: The smoke clears. Two enemies are dead. Nothing is moving. The number at the bottom for each of your two people refills. You move one around. Nothing else moves. Etc...
Got it?

I see.
Kind of like the overwatch mode in The sequal to R6... but with on-the-fly planning.
I still think that calling your shots before hand would be a bit too powerful, but its a cool idea.
