I saw this cheater yesterday...
He like used the commandermode bug to kill marines.
I will give you has name and WON id, even though no on gives a d*mn, and there are hundreds-thousands of other cheaters...

Ok, enough of labeling a cheater or two.
NOBODY CARES! If you see cheaters appearing a lot on the server you play on, then go to a server where admins actually moderate their server, and ban cheaters. Do not come here to whine about one single cheater, even if you do have their WON ID and name etc...

Just to recap:
NO ONE CARES.

This is just a plea to keep this forum clear of all the useless "I saw teh cheetar" posts.

When people post the names of cheaters/lamers on these forums, nothing happens. Wow,you have seen cheaters... So have I. The difference is that I play on a server where I have grown to know the admins, and am just a few short clicks away from getting them banned.

i like to play with stopcommandermode while i'm in the ready room, waiting for the game to end. Thats not cheating, but i got banned from two servers for it.

Posting names and wonids of "cheaters" on a forum is useless, I don't even know why people do it. It's not that hard to change your name and who the hell has a list of wonids besides their comp and do /status everytime someone joins the server? Haha.

Playing on an admin server is a good idea, but just make sure they got good admins.

Example: I got banned from a server because I wiped out the entire alien team and proceeded to kill their hive ending the game with 54 kills---they all called me hacker because I was new to the server and wanted to try out 1.04 beta since the server I frequent (and have minor admin access to) is running 1.03.
The funny part is that some of the players saved the demo and said they were going to
send it to the admin--but I'm guessing they banned me because their regulars just cried really loud.. *shrug*

I was told that stopcommandermode crashed the server?
Probably just saying that so i dont do it. I dont anymore as i have heard about people being banned for it. I only did it in the ready room, didnt know it did anything in the game.
Was over it in 5 mins, lol.
I never do it anymore.

Actually, I *do* pay attention to the 'cheater' posts. I have a list of WonIDs that pop up a notify message when they join, so I can keep an eye on them. If I see them cheating, they go straight from the 'alert' list to the 'ban' list. If they don't cheat, they stay on the list until I've seen 'em playing straight games often enough to feel that they aren't a problem, and that the post was just a grief or false alarm. I can't be everywhere at all times, so the WonIDs actually help to alert me to a <i>possible</i> problem.

So, Monkey... maybe <b>you</b> don't care. Or just otherwise want the 'WonID X was cheating with Y exploit on Z server at XX:XX:XX' posts to stop, perhaps for a more personal reason? Player names can be changed, after all. WonIDs are much more difficult, for Joe Q. Player.

Actually, I posted this topic a while back.
Back then there were 4-5 "I saew teh cheetar" posts cluttering up the forums. I would notmally not mind, but when I have to constantly switch to page 2 to read some actually decent posts, cheat-whining posts get on my nerves.
