    <b>ROFL</b> so true.

    As for the whole VSync and shearing business.... wow i never knew that.

    My monitor's refresh is set to 100Hz so i think i'll enable it <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    The hand-drawn NS pic is gold. Should be saved for all eternity <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Semperfi, great screenshot. I stopped playing that game because NS is just more fun. Waste of my money if you ask me <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I don't think I've got a hot graphics card because I didn't want to spend £320 on a decent card at the time I bought the one Ive got now. I ran at 1024x768, 2x anti-alising, texture sharpeing and 8x anistropic filtering. I couldn't really think of a place to take a screeny from, so I just came up with this <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I have a GeForce 2MX-400 w/ 64mb so my fps is usually 15-30 in 1024x768x16bit <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Actually newer video cards offer alot more than just FPS increase or better Anti aliasing.

    What version of DirectX do the support native? What kind of Anti Aliasing? Do they have vertex and pixel shading capabilites? For that matter just in general there are many different hardware capabilites of the cards. Drivers are also important. It's a combination of the video card and the game manufacturer using its abilities that will make it play well.

    I believe that the best place to get information on a video card is not from the manufacturer. My favorite place to check is www.tomshardware.com
