    i cant wait till i try this version, the shotgun is finally beeing an valid option due to the cost,
    mariens actually need more strategy than some dumb rushes

    as long as marines obey the comm and the comm do know what he is doing i dont see what the problem would be with this patch now hopefully well see some shotgunning marines battling the fades and not dying like madmen

    oh and there are a lot of newbeginners opinions here imho

    this is a rather cute patch

    If i were to reccommend 1 update to the patch, it would be to decrease shotty cost even more so... that could help.

    That's what it looks like on paper (or computer screen, as the case may be), but in the five or six 1.04 games I've played over a couple different servers, the marines have been dominating. Go figure.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
    One thing I've noticed is that the servers running 1.05 are pretty large - three 12v12, one 11v11 and one 8v8. Marines SHOULD dominate on anything larger than 9v9, as neither spawn rate nor resource model has been changed.

    Honestly, this IS like asking what you thought of a movie ten minutes into it. In fact, most discussion of strategy in NS is like this, because it's only been out for almost 2 months. That's not enough time for anyone to get good at the deeper levels of the game, let alone the whole thing. Only some of the playtesters can lay claim to understanding NS all the way through. Don't complain about strategy balancing until we're all good at the game (or at least as good as we can get).
