<div class="IPBDescription">wil this course errors</div> I'm having the error this program has reached an illegal operation..
and also a couple of times it just freezes the computer and i get a black screen..

All im doing on the computer is running a CS and NS dedicated server..

I have been running the CS servr for a few months now with no problems or server crashes but since i started NS i have had problems, well it seemed to be fine and I installed admin mod, that all working fine, BUT i get the errors described.. help!!

I though it might be to do with me running the 2 servers from the same HLDS.exe (both mods have there own directories cstrike and NS)

what could be wrong?...

Please help!

    i think i know what your problem is, i dont think it is ram or cpu time, this wont help you server once its up, but still...

    you are getting a port conflict =) they are both trying to use port 27015. not pretty. they can both open the same port.

    add:
    <!--c1--></span><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>CODE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='CODE'><!--ec1-->
    log on
    <!--c2--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--ec2-->
    to you autoexec.cfg and post the log here. it might well be over use of cpu, or ram. maybe post ur pc specs here to, or if embarased, pm me them

    sounds more like a file access error...even though i don't know why thier would be one.

    are you running these by command line or by the gui....because if your doing it from the gui i can see there you would get problems.

    ok, i know that a port would spit an error, specific error, but i know some OS will act up entirely.

    as to cracker jackmac:

    if he is running both via GUI, he will get port errors, as it doesnt specify any -port in cmd line

    I'm running 2 CS, 1 NS, and 1 NWN servers on the same windows 2000 box. I use www.firedaemon.com to run them all as services. Just make sure the ports are different and you're all good.

    I had the same issue. You will need to seperate the CS and NS servers from the same machine. NS utilizes way too much CPU for both CS and NS to run properly. You could run a 8 player NS Server, and a 18 player CS server, but anything higher than that, both games will lag horribly. This was done on a P4 1.6GHz server.

    Finally getting back on NS forums, i haven't been able to for ages [weeks]

    I am specifing in the taget line for the shortcut to HLDS -port 27025 for the NS one and the CS one is just l;eft, and is therefore 27015..

    not a port issue i don't belive..

    Screeen soh tshould show you what im runing the server like
