why don't you delete them instead of lock them? When they're locked, they still take up space on the coveted First Page.

there needs to be official stickied threads concerning topics, so that they could serve as the ultimate source of information and oppinion, and a place for never-ending useless talking that doesnt riddle the ideas forum with topics
