    I've also seen "CC" used as "Comp Core" in the map that has the Computer Core. Most hive abbreviations are "vent hive" "maint" "eclipse" "engine" "feedwater" "refinery" "unnamed" "viaduct" "silo" or "powersilo" "cargo" ... all depends on the map. Duh.

    Some locations are "loop" "horseshoe".. etc. But I've never seen some of the strange ones on that list. BNWD? HC?

    The only acronyms I really see are "TF" "HMG" "GL" "JP" "IP" "RT" and the chamber acronyms. Personally, phase for me is "phase" or "gate", shotgun is "shottie" or.. gasp.. "shotgun" .. siege turret is "siege" .. these don't take too long to type, folks.

    Nothing overly complicated :/ Wish my voice comm was more reliable.

    If you use acronyms you're just asking to loose. Avoid confusion and spend two seconds to say it. If you're typing and an alien comes, he would've killed you anyway.

    I've actually heard people call the unnammed hive "Mother", and I'm fairly sure that was it's name. Oh, if it matters, 'turrents' are 'turrets'. Just thought I'd clear that up.

    Is WM (weld me) in frequent use? Because that's about the only semi-useful thing on the list in my opinion. Too often the rules of politeness have me saying "StanleyPwnz, can you weld me at South Loop please?" ten times in row... a few "WM" spams aught to do the trick, but only if Stanley and his buddies know the acronym...

    I didnt even bother to read the list, but from the replys, it seems the guys wants to make his own jargon, and that seriously sucks, since half the community will never learn it. Jargon should never EVER be made an official thing, because then it immidiately loses the effects of the people using it. People say WoL because thats what they've always done, not because someone told them to.

    Those abbreviations probably only works around people you play with alot, like your clan. On public servers I usually go for more self-explainatory shorts like "need def chams" and such. It gets you what you need a whole lot faster than having to retype everything without abbreviations, because your team don't know WTF you're talking about. Also, you can't really expect a n00b, who barely even knows how to play, to know "hardcore" NS-slang.
