the same aliens from the movie?? I don't know the first thing about making my own, but it would be neat if people tried to improve on the actual aliens from the game instead of just making this an alien vs predator clone. till then I'll stick with the defaults

I like pulse rifles more becoz they look cooler in my opinion and becoz itz from the movies, but it all depends on ppl's preferences.

i was wondering the same thing....go play AvP or make original skins...all i see when i come here is AVP models....

true there are few original models being posted here, most are game rips. its sad that people who have the ability to alter other games models do not use that skill to make their own type of model, which imho is much more rewarding.

you realize new stuff is not going to come out right away, unless it is poorly done.

i am perfectly happy with the conversions. i use them because i love the movie aliens, not because i want to make ns into avp.

Yeah I've been doing a lot of Aliens converting but I do plan on making my own models. The thing is the the game is only a month old, you can't expect people to come out with custom hand made models immediately, much less models with their own animations. Anyway I would show you some of my concept sketches but my scanner is busted.

Even though AvP2 is $30, I love making NS into Aliens. It's a lot more fun than AvP2. And a lot of people who play NS love the movie Alien. that's exactly why I said I don't know the first thing about it. I was just asking in hopes somebody could point to a thread I missed showing some unique models, or someone who is in the process of creating them, so I can know whether or not I should bother looking at this section of the forum much.

you're wrong, it already has helped, cause at least I know there's people who are at least discussing this. I love the alien movies too, and I also think this game is superior to AvP, at the same time I was curious if anybody had anything else in mind as far as kharaa models. especially since a lot of the concept art is so incredible, I would think at least one person would be working on some sort of variation of it.

that's what I thought, which is pretty funny considering all the "noob" bashing I hear on the servers. I first thought it was only a month or 2 old but I've been playing only slightly less than that and right from the start I was bashed for being a "stupid noob". of course now I'm usually one of the most feared skulks on my team <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> anyhow I look forward to see what you come up with

It's actually quite amazing to see virtually the entire game converted into an amazing Aliens conversion this quickly. Kudos to everyone that has helped contribute!

(whenever anyone sees the Aliens model/weapon replacements on my computer they totally flip out at how cool they are -- and demand for them immediately!).
