-chop 128 & Stair Case Effect

<div class="IPBDescription">Stair Case Effect</div> What is the lowest -chop # you can put to prevent the staircase effect casted by shadows from a light source?

Also, is their a negative effect on the maps playbility if you use -chop #

Also, does it go in the light_exe or vis_exe parameter box?

    -chop 96 is generally the largest chop if you still want your lighting to look mostly decent.

    If you're worried about max_map_patches, just use -sparse, as it wil bypass the patches limit.
    If it's compile time you're worried about, -sparse will increase rad times significantly.

    running rad with -extra will also even out the lighting, although will make compile times longer
