<div class="IPBDescription">check out the latest screenshots</div> i just checked and the forums are back up, yay. looked at the announcements forum, saw the message about the new site, headed to the site and stumbled over the commander mode screenshots.
ooh, can't wait. one can only speculate what some of those new features are.
for example in "commander mode 7" there's the sentry, the siege and then something else that could be a...stationary welding gun? maybe a missile or grenade launcher ?
or "commander mode 9", the soldier icon, as well as the weapons..although those may just be new icons...welder, hmg, grenade, and the shotty is the one in the middle, bottom row? whats the explosion then in the lower right hand corner? oh, i want. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

that welding gun looking thing was actually the button you had to press to research the siege, rather then researching it from the turret factory ...
