Game Mode Customization

Currently, the game has very limited game mode options, ranging from Creative mode (you can do just about anything), Freedom (no food or water), to Hardcore (permanent death, no oxygen alerts). If would be nice if you could customize certain things on a scale of difficulty before you start a game (and cannot change one the game has begun). The game would rate the overall difficulty based on the settings you have selected (Freedom for primarily having easy options, Survival for average settings, and Hardcore for primarily having hard options). Some ideas:

Food and Water
- No food or water meter
- Food and water meter drains at standard pace
- No alerts for low food or water

Oxygen
- No oxygen meter
- Oxygen is needed
- No alerts for low oxygen

Recipes
- Simplified recipes, if applicable (for instance, a Water Filtration Machine would require Fiber Mesh instead of Aerogel)
- Standard recipes
- Complex recipes (for instance, fabricating a First Aid Kit requires Bleach)

Cost
- Craft things at no cost
- Craft things at normal cost
- Craft things at double cost

Speed
- Crafting and scanning are completed 50% faster
- Crafting and scanning are completed at normal speed
- Crafting and scanning are completed 50% slower

Fragments
- Acquire new blueprints on first scan
- Acquire new blueprints after scanning the required amount of fragments
- Acquire new blueprints after scanning double the required amount of fragments

Aggressive Life Forms (Warpers will still attack the player if they are infected).
- Hostile life forms have a smaller aggro range; pursue players or vehicles for a shorter duration
- Hostile life forms have a normal aggro range; pursue players or vehicles at normal duration
- Hostile life forms have a larger aggro range; pursue players or vehicles for a longer duration

Death
- No items are lost upon death
- Some items may be lost upon death
- Game ends upon death

Power
- Operate anything with no power
- Power is used normally
- Power drains faster; Vehicle and Base lights also drain power

Day/Night Cycle (Sleeping will advance roughly a third of the total day/night cycle)
- Time of Day does not move at all
- Time of Day moves normally (as seen in all current game modes)
- Time of Day moves slower, allowing for longer days, but also longer nights

Lighting (does not apply to artificial light; affects solar-based power capabilities)
- Light produced by the sun, biomes, and life forms are brighter than normal
- Light produced by the sun, biomes, and life forms are normal
- Light produced by the sun, biomes, and life forms are dimmer than normal
