How to Recover a Damaged Save File

I recently played through what was probably my best playthrough of Subnautica yet. However, as I was approaching the end game my computer froze (it's been doing it lately and I made the bad choice of not just backing up my save every once in a while). When I tried to go back into the game it read "Damaged Save File." For some reason my game.json folder had also been cleared. Is there any way I can recover my save?

Run a chkdsk on the drive with Subnautica in it. For example, if that was drive C:, do:
    chkdsk c: /f

You'll need an administrator command prompt to do this, click Start, type cmd and right-click "Command Prompt" and choose "Run as administrator"
