Question About Color Spray Tags

<div class="IPBDescription">Last pixel on right going to the left</div> Hey everyone. I had a very odd problem with my first tag, shown below.

<img src='http://www.ratemycase.com/ns/comingsoon.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image'>

Because the image is so dark, you can't make it out there, but on the left side there was a one pixel black line. I couldn't figure it out, then it finally hit me. The last pixel on the RIGHT side of the image, was getting wrapped around to the LEFT side. So the black around the letter g in coming, was getting shoved over to the left side. I then noticed that about 3 pixels from the upper left side of the hive support was getting sent over to the RIGHT side.

I am wondering, what is causing this? Is it a bug in Wally's wizard which I used to create the .wad, or is it an engine bug. As a quick fix I just gave a 1 pixel boarder around the entire image of blue, so that nothing wraps around. If I wanted to get fancy, I suppose I could put the last right pixel on the left, and the last left on the right so whatever causes this displays the correct image in the end.

Anyone know what's up?

[Edit: Fixed image, I'm a dork]

    It's just a problem with the engine. I think it's related to anti-aliasing textures. I just leave a 1px boarder around the image.

    I'm not sure what you mean?

    RGB variables can have integer values up to 255.... no further

    0 red, 0 green and 255 blue is the colour which Half-Life recognises as transparency... I'm not sure if MS Paint can allow you to set specific RGB values like this and if it can I don't know how as I don't have it installed.... sorry

    Oh, also, if your video mode is set to software then this will probobly be your problem as it doesn't make anything transparent... ladders look really ugly...

    I have no idea how to make tags... can someone describe this?

    I get that 0,0,255 RGB is tranparency now, but does the picture itself have to be a certain size and file type?

    I can't get my transparency to work either, I just get a stupid looking blue backround. <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Don't save it as a jpeg. That is what causes the blue background to show up. When you create your image save it as a bmp.

    Create an image, it cant be any bigger than X * Y = 10752. The X and Y also have to be evenly disivible by 64. I would recomend 64 * 128, or 128 * 64. Save it as a bmp. Fire up Wally, go to the HL decal wized, load your bmp, save, and wala. All done.

    The RGB value (0, 0, 255) only works as transparency if it's the last entry (#255) in the palette. You need to edit your image's palette.

    Wally does that automatically. Saving as a BMP then loading that into wally is enough. I never touched my palette.
