Kelp forests

I have noticed that a lot of the kelp Forests have literally no stalkers at all present. I mean there are in like 1 or 2. I have reset the cache and this has now happened in 3 of my new games. I mean it doesn't really annoy me too much because I find stalkers annoying. But do find it weird that they seem to have disappeard. And this has affected my ability to find stalker teeth.

Just wondering whether this has been planned or whether this is an actual bug because before stalkers could be found in all the kelp forests, now it seems to just be a couple.

Is this after the ship goes BOOOOOM! Wouldn't that be the radiation killing of the local wildlife in the Kelp forests near the Aurora?

Is that what happens didn't know that was the case. But anyway. No you have to explore the kelp forest as soon as possible to get the knife and there were no stalkers in the one I visited. Meant it was easy to get resources without fear from being attacked.

The radtiation will eventually spread to a certain range, but there should be plenty of fauna in the other kelp forest

Some parts of certain kelp forests naturally lack stalkers. These places are safe to collect resources without fear of being eaten. The ones which DO have stalkers usually spawn them within specific places that they then wander around. Personally, I feel like this is intentional, and a good thing, as it gives a different feeling of exploration to the same biome.

Ok fair enough. I just felt it was weird. They seemed to be missing in the same forest they were in in one of my previous playthroughs but maybe it is random.

But either way it made it easier to gain resources. I just found it slightly weird and erie as I hadn't experienced it before.
