High-freqeuncy repellent?

I just thinking how to distract predators.I think i can do in two categorier:
-Pasive defense
-Active Defense
Pas..:I mean High-frequency repellent.Whots it is doing?This is small High-Frequncy wave generator.If you have equiped,predatros who come to near you will hear for them very uncomfourtable high-frequency sound->They stop atacking you,even before you get hit.I can imagine it working for all predators,effectivity will decrase with weaight of predators(RL->just few sec. protection).
Active:
I can imagine some sort of Decoy drone/robot,who will be relased from you hands and clear your way of hostlies animals(range of this could be 20-30 meters),but just one-time use.
Both of them i can recipe just imagine,but could be it easy.
