Cannot put Power Source on Foundation

I'm pretty sure this is an accident not a feature. You cant put a power source on a foundation because the power goes strait into it, and refuses to redirect to a power transmitter. Only way to have power in this way is to have a road of foundations do your base which could be wanted or not.

If you're looking to have a flat spot to build a generator on, you can always build and then deconstruct the foundation. Otherwise you're right - the foundation counts as a base, and the power will go to the nearest base.
