Voice Comms

any one else find what most people say on comms too hard to understand? I dont mean in an intelligence way, but I find it impossible to make out what someone is trying to say on them so often.
Sometimes your commander gives you orders, and if im lucky i might make out my name.
usually i cant hear any of it so im forced to sit defending or just forced to follow a random person about or follow some waypoint. Personally i find it a lot easier to understand typed orders, not only can i make them out straight away but if i feel the need to re-read my orders I can do so easily enough.
There are advantages to voice comms, like the fact warnings of attacks can be given instantly, but if I find myself not being able to make out what that warning is I become useless to the team in defending that point.
:/
i know this isnt the fault of NS in any way, but hmm

I could still EASILY make out everything that I was saying, even though it was being relayed back to me through two microphones.
Why? I personally don't like having to stop what I'm doing to type out a warning that shows up for my marines after they die. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
i don't use voice comms as HL voice comms doesn't like my WinXP Sound Blaster Audigy. I compensate by using my 60-80 wpm typing skills <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
I suppose that's a good idea. I like being able to hear things coming me behind me though. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
