After Bleeder bite, I can't access my inventory?

I was in a Kelp Forest near the Aurora's crash site, when a Bleeder grabbed onto my arm. I just started playing the game today, so I didn't know what to do, so I just swum up to the surface, and the Bleeder disappeared, but my arm didn't go back to normal. It still stayed bent. And I tried dying, but when I respawned, my arm was still bent. I can't get into the inventory now because of this, it just stays down, parallel to my arm. What can I do to fix this? Please help!

I'm playing on Freedom mode, if that matters at all.
