Oh, sorry. It means "Grassy Plateau Egg" , and the inventory description says, "A mysterious egg".

If you use Freecam under the aurora when enfald is open you can see all the eggs

Yeah, I found it also. At May, there were some eggs in the game, but the devs patched it off. The game goes on and the things come back...

You can use the egg in the Analyzer, which came later in the game, ... scan ... and ... you have stalker characteristics.
