Driver update has rendered game unplayable

So I updated to the new Nvidia driver about an hour ago in hopes that maybe it would help with the game overheating. Aside from the crashes associated with that I haven't had any issues with the game. However, now after having updated my driver, my save will not work at all.

Mostly the loading screen just hangs and the game stops responding but every now and then the game will load in and I can hear all the sounds but I'm still stuck on the loading screen. I've tried this with both new and load.

I'm using Windows 10

Any suggestions?

Well first of all I don't think the game was made for Windows 10 mate.
Try rolling back your drivers and see if your save still works.

So, I uninstalled and then reinstalled and it seems to be working fine. Rolling back the drivers didn't do a thing though

No game or driver should just overheat your card. (well a driver may be pushing it but still.)
You sir, have some cooling issues.

Ive done my own performance checks in the recent past and the card doesnt get close to heating up on my end. (also nvidia)

Yeh, sounded like a steam install issue tbh. Verifying cache and stuff.

Hmmm, that could be from running my card''s fan at high speeds
