Biome Eggs Concept Speculation/Suggestions

First time posting something in a forum so bare with me. First, I'd like to say this is one of my all time favorite games of all time; the fusion of oceanography, biology, chemistry and finally the aspect of pure survival, creates this magnificent wonder of a game. Moreover, I was just swimming looking for anything of interest when I stumbled across a strange looking egg-shaped object. Like any human being, curiosity took over; in closer examination and studying (by studying I mean actually going to a wiki and identifying what it was) I found out it was a Grand Reef egg. I started calling them biome eggs, still not knowing what they are called. Likewise, I found out that they could be used as research for complex technological advancements; as I put a Grassy Plateau egg in the Specimen Analyzer, it immediately turned into a Reefback egg. At this moment, my imagination started to spark and synthesize these ideas into a conclusion: what if these eggs could hatch? With that in mind, my mind started producing these ideas like domestication of creatures, biomass energy sources, nutrition sources, etc. So now I'm wondering if these eggs are just purely for research and what would the community or developers think of the idea of biome eggs hatching. If you have any suggestions or ideas on what these biome eggs could be used for please share them with me.
