here is what i sugest go to lan games make a game and press sv_cheats 1 the game will start

get in and

1) learn how to build

2) find good locasions to build the buildings and the sentys
sendrys are expensive build them in good spots

3) press f4 and join aliens see the mistakes you made when you where building before


it will take you some time but you will learn some things you can use at internet games

On occasion, I run a commander training server with sv_cheats turned on. I'm the only alien and all the wannabe-decent commanders go marine. By using the cheats, I can show them how to build, where to build, and basic strategies to keep away aliens. Most people have thanked me, because it's really helped their commanding game. So, if you see 'Commander Training HK' and want some help, come on in.
