Problems in Arch (crashing and stuff)

Hello, I recently downloaded this game due to the drop in prices with steam sales but I am sad to say that when I tried to play this game it didn't work!
When I started up the tutorial it went through Loading, Initializing and Loading Maps on the screen, it crashed on Loading Maps. I got these errors: WARNING: Corrected case of '/home/rabble/.local/share/Steam/SteamApps/common/Natural Selection 2/ns2/materials/eclipse/eclipse_Main_Area_A_B4_Spec.dds' and some of these
warning: The VAD has been replaced by a hack pending a complete rewrite.
I got a boat load of corrected case errors.
I am running a Archlinux 64bit machine if that info helps at all. I was guessing that the problem may be because you are running openGL(Beta) but I'm not the most technical person so my guess probably isn't to good.
I should also mention that it was sort of laggy on the menu.
Thanks in advance for taking the time to read this and sorry if my writing seems messy

But I would verify steam cache to start.
I've already tried that but no dice
@Confused Thanks, I'll give it a read,
