I cannot start the tutorial.

I'm told I have to join the marines in order to start the tutorial but as soon as I boot it up, a bot joins the rines so I can't join the team thus I can't continue the tutorial from the ready room. I read a thread that said it was really good but unfortunately I can't see it for my self.
