Help! Cant Join My Own Dedicated Server!

<div class="IPBDescription">It doesnt register my HL CD key..weird..</div> When I try to join my own dedicated server, it doesnt register correctly with WON so I get a message that my CD key is in use.

THen I joined a normal game and it worked, and retried on my dedicated server

same problem!

can somebody help me?

    Running the Dedicated on the same machine as the client???
    Because I know that messes up the won id authing.

    Or if not, did you install the dedicated with you standard HL disc and entered the CD-key in it???
    Try removing it from the server if you have.

    To join a HLDS server on the same machine:

    Right-click on your HLDS desktop icon, and add -port 27016 after -game ns etc.
