I was kicked from a server for accusing someone of hacking, does this happen often?

Normally if I see someone who can shotgun a skulk leaping out of a corner, I get a bit suspect and will call someone out on their shit. I don't expect to be kicked from a server for voicing my suspicions though. Is this such a a taboo subject we can't even talk about the possibility of cheats?
Just wondering if anyone else has had run-ins with suspect server admins.

I consider it fine if you ask how did the person know you were there.
edit: Let me add, I think server admins are proud when those good players play on their server and don't want others to accuse them, especially when they know them / their pseudo.
That's not accusing a person of cheating, though is it? It's a valid question that can allow you to learn something new. Responses, for example: "I heard you," or "a teammate of mine was killed here earlier," or "I saw you on the minimap moving to this room because another teammate saw you as he passed by the other end," or "based on your engagement at XYZ I guessed that you would take this path to heal so I waited around the corner for an ambush"
You were kicked not because you were accusing me (one of the admins) of hacking, but because of the disruptive manner in which you were carrying on about it. Another admin saw fit to kick you (after giving you enough chances to settle down), after which you rejoined and continued to be disruptive.
Anyway I suggest not leaping right into my face when I have a shotgun, as all i need to do is m1 and you're dead. I literally did not even need to move my mouse.....
By all means ask how they knew you were there, or how they got the kill, or out-manoeuvred you. Knowledge is power, and the only way to really improve at this game.
Understand there are people who play competitively and/or have been around since alpha days who pub very frequently. Many now with the game being released a while have 500, 1000, 1500+ hours into the game. Unless you clearly see some one tracking through walls in first person spec or CLEARY see aimbot in first person spec there is ZERO reason to accuse people of hacks during play.
There were a few situations that a number of people pointed out to me when we were playing. Normally I know when I'm doing shit or the other player is good, but it just felt off this time. One shotting me consistently, sniping from a distance, massively high k/d ratio, predicting my location, all stuff a decent player can pull off, but still makes me feel suspicious.
Chances are though, this dude probably is highly skilled. He was stacking with all the decent players. I am just a lot worse than I think I am most likely.
I am more curious as to how common this is, rather than if they were hacking. Whether there has been admins abusing power before, or whether I just annoyed them enough with my frustration that they kicked me.
Its sad that people who played the game for around 1 week and cant hit shit, cant use the map, have zero game awareness but knowing one thing for sure: the guy with the 20-1 stats is a cheater.
I tried to discuss with some of these whiners, but thats useless for sure.
Even the argument, that my aimbot helps me to fly backwards through the map and that im using the secret dodging-hack didnt take any effect. Or maybe this guy didnt had my sense of humor.
Are these guys using 1st person spectating to check if there right? Noo.
Another funny answer of one who knows for sure that i am a cheater was: "I was an Counterstrike admin, i know what im talking about and your movement is unnatural"
Are there Jetpacks in Counterstrike btw?
No situation requires you to vent to the other players on the server, it really bums people out and poops on their party.
Exactly the post I was expecting to see when I read the thread title )
Sadly, I havn't seen any one get kicked for falsely accusing some one else of hacking. I doubt its very common. You were lucky enough to accuse an admin when multiple were in a server.
That said, I see admins abuse power all the time, its nothing new. They can run their servers how they want so there isn't much you can do other then play some where else.
He probably had the FOV slider maxed out, and saw you.
And getting called a cheater makes me upset, because that's the last thing I'd ever want to be labeled as. Also on a personal record, I've seen 0 cheaters on this game and just one person a few months ago who I "suspected" using a wall hack, but didn't say anything. Only reason was every time I was doing a full silent walk from one location to another (or coming out of a vent) the guy would just 180 and instantly begin shooting me when I didn't make a sound and wasn't being scanned.
And it wasn't just once, he did it several times (5-6) so I labeled him as a suspected waller, anyway haven't seen that player since or anyone like that. And I'm pretty good at spotting someone cheating without even spectating them, I've done it multiple times in counter-strike because I understand how the games interp system works and when someone comes flying around a corner where YOU have the peeker advantage and insta headshots you, you can immediately suspect them of walling. Because of how the game works, there's like 60ms+ of interp where you're able to react before them as long as you're peeking from the left side of your screen (in cs:go it's the right side) and when you've not been spotted/made noise and someone does that, you can suspect them right away.
However even on that note, I rarely see people cheating in that game either, and even less on ESEA. So instead of calling someone out; go and watch them in spectate and provide proof. Or just accept that you're being outplayed (or getting no reg ;p)
It's not actually admin abuse when the kick is warranted though. Just behave and you'll have no troubles whatsoever.
Yup.
"Any sufficiently advanced [FPS Skill] is indistinguishable from [Hax]."
With apologies to Arthur C Clarke.
I think it is bad form to scream HAX just because someone has a great kdr. If you think someone is hacking, take it up with the server admins.
FYI, there is a bug where when you *change surfaces* while silent walking you do make noise audible to other people but not yourself. For example the route walking from say landing pad vent, along the landing pad big wall to calf breezeway you make a fuck ton of noise and can easily be heard in calf...all while 100% silent on your end. frustrating bug heh.
Also there are def cheaters in the game, its good you havnt came across any yet they are annoying. So far since 1st person spec came out I've spotted and reported a few, one last night actually. For one of them we got several competitive players on the other team and 1 spectate the cheater and just had fun shutting him down. We only managed to do this to 1 of them for 1 game but found but it was extremely enjoyable while we were waiting for an admin. Funny stuff..
You need to be an FPS vet for that to actually sink in though...
That's not too difficult for a vet. It's very, very doable. Wait till you get 1-shot leaping over a SGers head.
I wouldn't kick a player for calling out a player they suspect of cheating. I would kick a player who keep complaining, and gets volatile, even after I say the suspect player looks legit.
Call-outs can be funny, even a little ego boosters, but all damn game gets annoying.
Also, in your second post, you claim the suspect cheater stacked. You'd be surprised how a really good player can uplift a below average team. Those 5-5 players start turning into 14-6 players, since they now can keep res nodes and get upgrades.
Just saying, I have found 2 people already that have been doing this exact thing.
To be honest, there are only a few sketchy moments in that video, which might have been due to sound (I didn't have sound on in the video), great situational awareness or just pure luck. It's amazing, however, how the people on the server deem every single frag of his being due to cheats, never taking into account how abysmally bad most of the skulks engaging him are.
Stop linking to opinionated videos on this forum by the way.
The comments made by some people in the chat just make me cringe. Please refrain from talking and only record if you suspect someone of cheating. These people are only embarrassing themselves.
