Rant: people don't communicate

Most of the times there is one or two more people that communicate through a microphone and that's it. I just finished a game where no one spoke at all and not even used the chat (except the commander who gave some orders through chat).

If you don't communicate, then most likely your team will lost (if no one at all communicates).

What is the problem, people? You know english - speak it. Are you worried about that you cannot spell the words right? So what - by speaking you'll learn. I was just like you guys - first I didn't speak at all because I never ever spoke in english before so I know that I cannot spell the words properly, but then again - I won't ever learn to speak english if I don't try. It has been about a week since I started communicating through the mic instead of chat (using the mic is better than using the chat, because not everyone reads it).

Oh, and I feel that my english is slowly improving and I'm able to spell the words better and faster, so don't hesitate - speak and you'll learn, it doesn't matter how bad your spelling or accent is.

This probably only accounts for a small number of people, but generally talking in other online FPS's like COD, Battlefield, Halo, and even TF2, people will yell at you for talking. Whether it be your voice, what you say, or just the fact your talking, you will get yelled at 'cause your "annoying" and "bossy" etc...

So what I'm saying is due to bad experiences with voice chat in other games, some people are a little hesitant to speak.

Never heard someone being yelled at in any of the games I have played, except the kids with annoying squeeky voice.

I had that once, in World In Conflict .
Some half drunk guy started shouting at everyone, including me...so I muted his voice, and told him in teamchat what I did.
Got the guy freaking out even more
And me in TS "ahhh that's better" XD
For a short while he tried to ignore my tanks, requesting support from him, but when he noticed we could loose because of that, he knew he was an idiot.

I talk more and more comfortably in NS2 than any other game I've played. It's one of the reasons I enjoy NS2 so much, the way the game encourages teamwork and communication make it easy for me.
