DXDIAG + PLOG
I've been having FPS issues since launch. As of recently it has gotten worse. I play on a resolution of 1024x768. My native resolution is 1920x1080. If I try to play on my native resolution the game is unplayable, resulting in an FPS of 15-20 constantly. All my game settings are set to low or off. Multicore Rendering is enabled. I run the game in high priority and it helps slightly. When playing on 1024x768 or lower the game is playable until end game, resulting in 65-75 FPS on a brand new game and 35-40 FPS late game. If I enter a room with lots of infestation or action going on my FPS plummets, resulting in 20-25 FPS. Particle effects are set to low so I don't know why. This especially pertains to Exoskeletons firing, in the enemy hive fighting with lots of infestation around, or when crags are healing nearby. Towards the end of the game it's nearly impossible to aim or kill any enemies because my game starts hitching. I've checked r_stats and when I run 1024x768 there is 0ms Waiting for GPU. When playing on native resolution Waiting for GPU hits as high as 40ms in heavy situations. My CPU and Videocard aren't overheating. I've ruled that out. I run absolutely nothing in the background when I play NS2. I've included my DXDIAG and PLOG below. Thanks.

The waiting for GPU being 0 suggests your game is waiting on your CPU to catch up - indicating you need a faster CPU.
NS2 is a VERY CPU intensive game and while it is multithreaded, having a fast CPU is better than having more cores. And when I say fast, I mean practically fast - a chip can be slow at 3.4Ghz and another chip can be faster at 2.4Ghz.

I checked the Recommended and Minimum Requirements and my CPU passes both of them. I even ran http://www.systemrequirementslab.com and it said my system passed.
Also playing on the absolute bare minimal settings I don't see why I have any issues with the above being true.
