European /r/ns2 tourney 2012-12-22 1800 UTC, individual players signup

Hey guys,
there have been a lot of questions when we will play on Euro servers, so here is our first Euro /r/ns2 tourney:

As it is a first one and we want all players of community to meet and have fun, it will be open for individual players who will be put on teams based on a short form that they will fill. If you are on the team, tell your teammates to join, little bit of competition between team players never hurt anyone. :)

    Nice, get your teammates to sign up too.

    We are at about 12 people now, which is little scary. Is everyone waiting for later date to sign-up or are we royally screwed and there is no big interest in Euro events?

    I will just copy paste what i wrote on reddit:
    Because of experience with NA tourneys and pugs (tried 6v6 then moved to 8v8). 6v6 is pretty balanced on the highest levels, but with lower tier players aliens are a bit stronger, which is diminished by more marines on the field, easier holding more places on the map. I cannot back this up by any hard data other than 8v8 was more fun and seemed overall much more balanced.

    When (and if) we have team tourney(s) in the future, it will be 6v6.

    Alright, this tourney is nothing for me then, I would probably join if it were 6v6.

    8v8 yes. Random teams no, we will try to put teams together by skill and roles they want to play to make teams equal over the board. If everything fails and 14 people show up, then its 7v7 pug with lots of fun, also we will call this type of tourney for Europe a failure and our next one will be based on the answers in this thread: <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns2/forums/index.php?showtopic=126213" target="_blank">link</a>
