High ping

Should probably go in the "help section" but...

Boot up the game, and try to find a server. See the high ping numbers. Think that's a little odd since I was on just yesterday and the pings were manageable. But now I can hardly find an active server with a ping of below 150. Did the new patch mess me over somehow or are other people seeing a large increase in the ping?

No, I would recommend checking your processes to make sure there isn't an auto-updater or something going on in the background. Also steam has a habit of not telling you when it's downloading an update for itself, you can only tell by checking the icon on the toolbar to see if it says working. I had these kind of issues a lot when I was living out of a hotel on DSL, I had to keep a very close eye on what was sucking up bandwidth.
