Free NS2 over Thanksgiving Holiday?

I think to boost sales, UW should let users play NS2 for free over the holiday. The user counts have been steadily dropping from 8,000 peak users to now 4,000 peak users. If you offer NS2 free during the holidays, you will definitely triple that number. You need to attack this business opportunity fast and hard while the game is still young.

    Considering that a free weekend is a rather lot of work to organize (you don't just set the price to zero for a weekend), I don't think UWE is going to have the bandwidth to organize such a thing by American thanksgiving.

    The game is doing fine, it's still #9 on sales. They're better off not doing big promotions until after things have settled down a little more and the game is in a more stable state.
