Marine Death Laser

It's the future. The marines need technology that reflects their time period. A satellite orbiting in space that has a Death Laser attached to it that can blow up entire planets. There is no need to play on space stations when marines can just nuke/death laser the alien home world and end their existence. WIN

    What you don't realize is that the fade is to the Kharaa what a smelly drunk homeless person is to humans.
    They are shunned by other Kharaa life forms and forced to live on the edge of society, eating dead babblers as their only source of sustenance.

    Where fade's shifting is biological the marines technology is instantly existing with man. Therefore fade's have to evolve over a period of time to obtain their powers while marines have their powers instantaneously. Therefore negating anything the aliens could possibly achieve. Not to mention the home planet Kharaa is blown up by the marine death laser. Regardless of whether or not the aliens take over a space station their home is gone. Therefore they are homeless and resort to washing windshields of marine spacecraft for pocket change. Marines Win!

    AFAIK,
    Facilities aren't bombarded, because corporations that own them hired TSF to clear the infestation.
    That's what I've heard.

    Also, TSF uses easy to produce and especially cheap technology, so they can recycle it and mass produce when needed.


    I don't think modding assault rifle to shot as a laser would be that hard... you can just put a red beam thingy from the barrel to where bullets land (they are hitscan weapons), this would imitate laser beam effect.

    This has already been discussed. The only ones getting laser beams are Gorges.
