Tweaks to optemize MY performance?

Got this Settings:

I dont want to change the resolution (I like it: got much better aim with it)
on this Machine:
AMD Athlon X3 450 (3,20GHz)
4 GB DDR2 in Dual
Radeon HD 6800
With poorly frames as soon as the action goes hot or if I simple join the Alien team.. What can I do (besides an hardware upgrade), which could help?? I know the System is a little bit aged but well.. you know the problems with NS2...
On the System Side everything is optemized -so nothing to do there.
