Strange resolution big I found.

So, my resolution was 2560 x 1440; I decided to lower it to see if it would help with the poor performance. It didn't, but that's not the point.
So I decided to up my resolution back to 2560 x 1440, but was stuck @ 5-8FPS.
I restarted; nothing, I restarted, nothing.
I restarted my computer....and back to normal. Very odd.
