Is there a party system?

Is there a way for my friends and I to "party up" so that when we join a game, we would all be on the same team?

There is a very basic "gathering" option to join up with other people on a server. But no there isn't a team selection, basically that is up to the teams playing and you having the luck to play on the same team.

Hm, something to add I suppose. Although this might encourage team stacking in pubs. *shrug* Probably mitigated by requiring you to be Steam friends or something.

I recall in NS1 if too many people were waiting to join a team they'd be added in the order they walked into the team selector. So if you all walked in at once you effectively all queued up and hopefully there were enough guys around to fill up the other team.

It's easy, join the non-stacked (usually alien) team.

Doesn't work if you have a group of 3-4 friends. You need at least 2 others on the other side to join to let you all in with the current system.
