Hi guys

Really stoked in the next few hours we will be playing! I just purchased and was wondering if there are any settings/console commands I can apply to improve my performance.

My Specs:

Intel Core2Duo E6750(3.2ghz)
nVidia 8800GTS (512mb)
8gb ddr2
Win7

I will be turning my resolution as low as possible but are there any other settings or commands?

Really appreciate your input!!!

There are no hidden console commands. Everything you need is in the options menu. Type r_stats into your console and if it says 0ms waiting, then you are cpu bottlenecked (nothing you can really do setting wise to improve performance really).

    Relevant console commands nevertheless are
    r_shadows
    r_bloom
    r_atmopsheircs
    r_fog

I have a similar computer and I can play it just fine if I disable most of the effects and lower the resolution.

You could try overclocking that CPU. Would it be possible?

Otherwise yeah, just lower the settings a lot.

Turn off ambient occlusion and shadows in your graphics options, also enable texture streaming and disable vertical synchronization, and obviously enable multicore rendering.

That should crank up your fps by about 50%.

Turn off everything or set them to low/minimal except for texture streaming and multicore rendering. That should help.

Still, I hope there will be more optimisations coming soon. It's playable, and highly enjoyable, but it's the first time ever on my current rig that I had to turn resolution way down to 1280*1024 and turn off stuff like shadows, bloom, etc, just to get a manageable framerate.

It's not optimal, but who cares about those things when you're actually playing the game? :)

    Core I5 750

    and 4gb ram

and i gotta turn off the same stuff to get fps 25-40 but i'm not gona turn resolution down... to get 70+ ... when i can run bf3 on 1920x1080 on 40+ fps
