<div class="IPBDescription">i am dying</div>
I wrote about laptop for ns2 already in august or something when i was in vacation just in case that i would be dying to play NS2 again as i cannot play it anymore as semester begins, cos' i study at germany(i am not german at all) and have only one laptop which cannot even run CS1.6 normally.

Anyway, fact is that i am dying now. So i write this again.

I think i will buy one in March next year, so it's kinda far away, but i would like to know what kind of laptop would be fit for ns2. Average 50(when optimized in the future, not now) must be great. 30~40 should be not that bad as i command mostly.

Somebody recommend me any laptop for ns2?

I know buying laptop for a brand new game is kinda dumb, but it would waste a lot in the future if i get a desktop, because i won't be able to bring it back or somewhere when i finish studies here.

I have an MSI GT683X gaming laptop and it's a pretty amazing machine. Runs games like BF 3 and Skyrim on highest settings. It struggles with NS 2, though it's slowly getting better every patch. I think I now get a solid 30 - 40 FPS well into the lategame, though that is with shadows off and textures on medium.

It's a pretty small laptop too, 17'', which makes it easy to transport. I guess you may like a bigger screen, but you could always get an external one.
Also, gaming laptops are definitely a bit more expensive than the desktop variants, but if you NEED a laptop and want to at least be able to game occasionally then it's your only choice. (And they don't deserve the negative reputation a lot of people give them to be honest)

It would be cheaper and more efficient to just build a desktop and ship it back when you move.

Asus makes a pretty good line of gaming laptops and they have a stealth fighter jet look I like. Of course I'm completely against any real gaming on a laptop however.

I'd go for MSI, Asus, or Sager/Clevo. Also, for NS2, you'll want to go for highest CPU speed within your budget.

It is also possible to have compact-ish desktop cases with gaming gear now that the gfx companies are getting more reasonable power-wise.

    edit :

Look for Silverstone PS07 or TJ08E rigs, for a start. I also hear the BitFenix Prodigy is quite amazing.
