Hardware/Engine test?

Is the Engine Test still around or updated perhaps?
My machine will run NS2 no problem. My son's is questionable, and I'm researching what can be done so opening day we aren't left waiting to be able to upgrade. A while back there was an Engine Test for Spark. I know there's hardware requirements, and that's a nice guess (Ghz isn't terribly useful measurement these days, for instance), I'd like to use the test to be sure how it will run, if that's even doable. A demo would have been fantastic, like the Beta or something, but I purchased the 4-pack after the Steam page went up (obviously, sorry), so that's a no-go for me.
I searched the forums, but after about 4 pages of forum threads on engines or tests of various kinds, I thought asking might be faster.
Cheers.

That have now evoled into the NS2, along whit all the updates.
So no, there is no more engine test.
If you are thinking about some kind of game benchmarking tool, im afraid that isnt around either.
There are some system requirements, but I think the easiest thing to do would be to post your system specs. There's bound to be other people with similar specs around that can give a heads-up on performance.
This is largely no ones fault but the users. Hopefully they read the system requirements before purchase. Most people who meet the recommended system requirements are doing a lot better in the past few builds. One of my friends even averages 70FPS
I know the game has a lot more optimizing to be done, but im not so sure how much better FPS is going to get if you're only meeting the bare minimum requirements to run the game.
His comp:

Ghz just aren't very useful as a metric, especially AMD to Intel comparisons) <a href="http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu_lookup.php?cpu=AMD+Athlon+Dual+Core+4850e" target="_blank">http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu_lookup.php...Dual+Core+4850e</a>
