strange persistant bug, need help

hi guys, i need a little help with a bug/glitch/something, maybe one of you had it too or knows how to get rid of it.
i dont play ns2 every week, just now and then, so i cant say if its just since the last patch or the one before, i didnt fine anything about it in the forum, so i think its a local problem... but i tryed everything, i reinstalled ns2, i reinstalled steam, i even bought a new mouse, but i just cant get the secondary firemode of the pistol working, it just makes no sense, the riflebutt is still working, why the hell is the pistol bugging out on me? i even tried to play without it, but its so restricting, and your allways out of ammo, siriously, you have to try it sometime... anyway...
im normaly not the guy that asks for help, but its 4o´clock in the morning, i spent the last 6 hours on that damn problem, im tired and pissed. hope someone has an idea how to fix that thing.

What? I'VE BEEN HAVING THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM! Why is it suddenly bugged????? It worked SO WELL BEFORE!
