Can we get a mirror?

steam won't download
I've been having problems with steam lately when it came to downloading certain games. They get suspended and won't finish downloading (usually get around 99%).

I've tried every single fix out there and it still doesn't work. I was hoping if we could get a mirror to download the game so I can have all the files to play?

I was able to play the game by navigating to the folder and starting the .exe but I can't do it through my game library. and in console i keep getting missing sound/texture file notices.

So I would really like to know if someone could upload a mirror(another player or the devs) so I can have the game fully downloaded.

thanks!

Have you tried running NS2 from steam regardless of the fact that it doesn't say it's ready to play? I remember hearing about an issue a while back affecting some users where they had a similar issue to yours and the only way to fix it was to have steam change the format of the files or something similar (from what I remember it could only be activated by actually trying to play the game from steam).

If the above doesn't work I have zipped up a fresh copy of build 216 from steam - You can download it here: http://www.ns2servers.com/uploads/b216.zip

If neither of these work then a fresh install of steam (you don't have to re-download steam games) may possibly work unless you have already tried that.

Either way, report back if this fixed your issue or if you need further help.

You can also do an 'Add a non-steam game' to add a link to the NS2.exe into your library. I've done that so that I can have quick library shortcuts to NS2 running different mods (think NS2 - Menumod, NS2 - Combat, NS2 - MvM Mod, etc).

In Steam settings you can also change your download location, maybe the mirror you're using in Steam is a bad/slow one.
