Like many others I suppose, I picked the game after seeing that vid. I'm reaaaally enjoying it. Haven't been enjoying a FPS so much for a very long time.
Now I'm trying not to play too much in order not to get bored before the release ;)

Can confirm that Youtube has been utterly horrid lately. Annoyed me a great deal at that too, to the point where I started to seriously look around for alternatives. Sadly though Youtube is king in terms of content =/

I think there was 4 reasons why it did not feel as exciting for me. 1. They were playing mineshaft wich is a pretty big map so there was not as much encounters with other players. 2. They did not play from the start of the round so they didn't show of the cool first encounter with the marines setting up the first rts n stuff. 3. Biscut was not the best alien if i put it that way. I really can't blaim him for that but it still was a bit off putting. 4. The ending. We didn't get to see the final push wich is the climax of every game. They showed of the marine team very well though.

Honestly, I've been anticipating the game for a while but I didn't realise that beta access was available until TotalBiscuit jumped in. The game has issues, sometimes gamebreaking but for the most part I'm loving it. So cheers to UWE for making an excellent product and cheers to TB for the advertisement.

Anyway most servers where full tonight (which was good!) except a few US servers which sucked for me as I couldn't get a ping below 160 =/

But after watching his Marine video, I pulled the trigger the same day and have been enjoying the hell out of this game since.
