Suggestion for ownership of fallen weapons.

I hate being in base and getting butt chomped by a alien and my teammate scrambling for my gear instead of killing things.

If you aren't willing to part with your precious gear, dont die, or don't buy!
The key thing about marines is that they share weapons. if someone has a shotgun but he dies, someone with another gun can pick it up
If you take that away or even limit it.. well..you is gunna have problems.

I'm against this, there is various circumstances where I survived by quickly swapping weapons from a fallen soldier. P.res is abundant anyways.

Doesn't sound usual. I hardly ever see people scramble to pick up guns when there are aliens attacking them. In fact I often scream out "I died. Someone pick up my grenade launcher, don't let it goto waste." because more often than not people don't notice.

I'd rather see a timer appear about 5 seconds before a gun is dusted so I can recycle it for a team mate if it's a expensive gun.
