Nub Ns Server Op

<div class="IPBDescription">trouble getting a wins nsds running</div> I previously had a CS server running on this machine, with the works, hlg, am, sm, etc. I installed NS server on it & created an HLDS shortcut leading to the NS directory. When I start it up, the server just hangs on the WSAENOT... & does nothing after that. I only modified the server variables listed in the server.cfg file, and in the shorcut, added -game ns +maxplayers 20. I just want to get the server running before adding anymore to it. Will I need to completely uninstall the current HLDS & its mods & re-install it to run properly?

NS Win Server 1.02

WSAENOT.. I'm guessing the end of that says something about the port or ip your using not being available ??

My guess is that you didn't set a map. Add +map ns_hera to your startup line or whatever. Or type map ns_hera in the console when it starts.

Doh! Thanks, adding the map worked.

How about an of the meta mod mods, will they function with NS? I have been browsing through the forums and there have been some probs that ppl are running into.

metamod itself seems to work but adminmod with metamod doesn't for win2k .. for most people it blows up when the second team joins.
