Getting a .3ds model into NS2

OK, so I've got hold of a model I want to use for one of my mods. It is a .3ds file. I have watched the videos on importing models, and to be honest, it is way over my head, I don't understand the first thing about models :P

Can someone please advise how I get this 3ds model into NS2? Note I don't have any programs to edit the 3ds file :)

Well if you feel you can't import it yourself from the videos. You should link the model file. Also, does the model have textures?

    Sorry for the late reply.

The model has textures and materials. It is a very basic free model, but it does as a placeholder for now.

Here is a link to the file...

Don't take it too seriously :)
