How would I draw a square on the hud. (Preferrably not filled in.

GUIMarineEvent.lua is the file that draws the notifications box under the marine minimap.

Just take the code you need from that about positioning and placing the square.

GUIHUDElement is where the definition of the properties for the creation and look of a HUD element are.
