I think one of the main reasons NS2 doesnt work to well for me is because from what i tested it doesnt use the 2nd GPU in my 295.
When i force the settings to disable 1 gpu or to use both, it doesnt matter in NS2, i get exactly the same FPS. So this means basically im running a single GTX260 as far as the game cares.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
To try and take something positive out of this thread, I'm surprised you get such low performance, I have an i7 950 at 4.2ghz, so quite similar, but my performance is much higher than what you receive. I am using a 6950 instead of a 295, but I'm almost tempted to put the 295 back in and compare if youre interested. I don't think NS2 really cares about gfx that much, especially since the 260 isn't really a slouch anyway.
Youre not still running at native resolution are you?

dragon-guard: have you tried disabling one of the cards in nvidia control panel i.e. turn off SLI? i recall when i had the 295 it helped some, along with setting power management to "prefer maximum performance".. also. 64 bit. (Try frames rendered ahead?)
sampson: idk if you're trollin or serious. if serious then you're looking for something that aint there, bro - i know my own intentions, thank you. As i said i have the exact same rig - and i dont have his issues. thus i believe it to be user error - sorry if this upsets you?
