Needs to be fixed asap
The main ONOS bug I've noticed is that whenever a 5th ONOS is built, it can cause a server crash. I've heard others talk about this happening whenever too many ONOS are built, and it happened on my server one time and the server crashed. It doesn't always happen, though, maybe it's map specific?
Don't say it's my server either -- it's 2.4GHz, 512MB DDR RAM, and it has enough bandwidth to run quite a few NS servers..

Its time to upgrade buddy, forget motherboards and all that crud.
Just do the smart thing and get a new computer =)
Always happy to be helpful
I think that was the point of their posts. Gotta love sarcasm, right?
Anyway.. they're all wrong. My 2.4GHz P4 is faster than a 2.5GHz P4 you silly fools. It's a Dell, that makes it 1GHz faster. That's what Dell told me so it must be right!

Seriously though, I think this is a serious issue that the developers need to address.
Why?
It's obviously a server bug, not a problem with one specific server.
This is a global bug. Throwing it in the tech support forum will only take it away from the eyes of the developers, which are the people who should be viewing this to begin with, correct?
It seems to be a random thing. I've played on my server with 6 ONOS and it was fine.. it's just it doesn't always do it.
I had the *default* settings loaded for the server, the latest 1.01 patch, and no other additions, and it had this problem. As of right now I have ClanMod installed, but it was doing this before I even KNEW about ClanMod.
This is not a technical issue with one server, trust me. You are mistaken on that matter..
See the bottom of this thread: http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/in...t=ST&f=8&t=9156
I'm having the same issue with it crashing with the ONOS.. but I'm not running Linux, I'm running WinXP Pro. I can't run *nix on it because it's a machine that HAS to run windows at work. Maybe it's a Win32 server issue? Heh.
Several times I've been having great fun in what looks like the final few minutes of a base siege when the server crashes. If nothing else, it's disappointing because you don't know how it was finally going to end, especially after a couple of hours of play.
