And how good is it?...
Well today is a pretty good day. You see, it turns out there's some news for Metroid Prime. It turns out...

...it's nearly perfect! Holy crap! If you can remember, Metal Gear Solid 2 got a 9.6 on Gamespot. Well, behold it's coup de tat! 9.7... 9.7!!! Christ! Many people said MGS2 was perfect! And MP just owned it, according to the score (I know, they're completely different, but oh well).

Coolness, eh? So those of you who thought it would be merely okay (me), or those of you angered by First-person, this is still a great game. I'm going to go pick it up ASAP....

Metroid Prime is the reason I'll get myself a GameCube for Christams - but that was clear by the time they first announced it.

Resident Evil! Resident Evil! Resident Evil! That is why I got my Gamecube, that and Metroid Prime and a Mario Kart game I was hoping they would make for it. Anyone know is they still are?

    Metroid Prime is heaven.

Wanna know what's even better than Metroid Prime though?

Metroid Fusion. OMG that game rocks. If you remember Super Metroid, Fusion is actually **BETTER** than that!!! I didn't believe it either.

You can actually play both now! Most stores who have demo stations of the Gamecube are running a demo disc with Metroid Prime playable on it. There are even a few running Fusion on their GBA demo. I went to wal-mart and checked these out. Go at 2am or so when there won't be much of a line behind you and you can play fusion as long as you want as there seems to be no GBA timer for reset like there is on the gamecube system ^_^

I bought my Gamecube for Super Smash Bros. Melee and Pikmin.

Although I'm not complaining about Metriod Prime, Mario Sunshine, Zelda, and Starcraft Ghost at all.

Glad to see some people here love the Gamecube. Nice change from the **obscenity** fanboys over at BGH. >_<

Metroid Fusion looks great, but I don't have a GBA. Perhaps I could get someone to let me borrow his and a link cable just so I can h4x0r the Fusion suit into Prime. I'm guessing the Fusion suit will allow you to absorb enemy health in Prime or something.

heh. I love games, regardless of what system they are on. If its good and fun, then power to em! I like ps2 games like MGS2 and GTA, X-Box games like Splinter Cell and.. um.. well i'm sure there will be more, and GameCube games like Metroid Prime. I don't really have any feelings towards the actual systems themselves though. I play games, not systems.

I'm buying it before I get home from classes tomorrow. Now all I have to decide is whether to skip the classes after my midterm or not.

I also really want StarFox Adventures and Mario Sunshine... but with my limited cash flow (approximately $0 incoming), it's a big stretch. Hmmm... only one month until it's Christmas time!

Oh, and best game available on the GameCube is, no contest, Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem. Definitely one of the greatest single player gaming experiences I've ever had.

@Greedo: Yep, that one would be my fave ATM as well. However, I have Metroid Prime reserved and paid for and whatnot already, so in light of a 9.7 (holy lord) at gamespot, it might just usurp that.

I'm seriously considering getting a Game Cube. I'm just a bit weary of it because I freakin' *hated* the Nintendo 64.

But Gamecube, a bunch of awesome games...the price is better than the other two, I might have to do it...

If they drop the price again I'll be all over it. Now that I play NS most of the time I don't *need* a new computer as bad anymore...
